Why this piece is awesome: I love the common fannish theme of putting Venom in a bottle or jar, and this is a very cute, well-done example of it! I like the simple lines that make it look like a design piece, I'm unreasonably delighted by the cork, and I think the artist did a good job of making Venom look all liquidy and moving.

Why this piece is awesome: New month, but I'm still here with Venom art, though this month it's not themed beyond "I liked this art"! This one is an inktober piece of Venom comforting Eddie. Like the title implies, it is really tender and sweet. As I have said on tumblr, I especially love the crosshatch shading on Eddie’s clothes, and the thick exterior outline coupled with the thinner internal lineart. Why this piece is awesome: A deliciously gooey, almost gory version of Eddie and Venom kissing (???)! I love the way the tongue and teeth wrap around Eddie, the way the tentacles on his face look like tiny hands, the extremely gooey, messy quality to the tentacles covering him, and the way Venom is absolutely dripping with saliva. The hearts and the typography for the "Eddieeee" look so plaintive and desperate, too! And of course I'm a big fan of the concept of "drink your boyfriend" ;D

Why this piece is awesome: While these two pieces don't officially go together, I always think of them as part of a greater whole because they match conceptually. In both of them, I just really love the drippy gooeyness of Venom - downwards all over Eddie in the still, and, interestingly, upwards and into the ether in the gif! I also rather like the subtle lighting & the colour palette used in "time for bed, eddie", and the way the gif in "tired" almost looks like it's taken from an old film. There's also something very lovely about both the poses!

Why this piece is awesome: This is an adorable little piece! I adore the way one of Eddie's socks is all loose and near-falling off, and the way his other sock has a hole with his toe sticking out. Venom's face is so freaking cute, with its near-closed eyes and tongue sticking out all squiggly-like. The way it's all stringy and half-wrapped around Eddie's limbs, half oozing down the couch, is such a nice touch, too!

Why this piece is awesome: This fandom has had such an influx of gorgeous art in the last two months that it was near impossible to narrow my choices down, so I'm choosing this month to focus on art that has Venom as very gooey and distinctly alien in its body structure. This first piece is one of my favourites in the fandom - a simple black/white/grey drawing of Eddie and Venom kissing nevertheless completely draws me in every time. The intensity of feelings portrayed is fantastic, from Eddie's closed eyes over Venom's nearly-shut ones to Eddie's hands clutching at Venom like he's trying to get him even closer. I love Venom's design - the ridiculous tongue that makes you wonder how it fits in Eddie's mouth in any way, the anatomically improbable teeth that don't look like they are positioned the way they should be, the veiny, poisonous-looking way Venom is emerging from Eddie's body, not just in one place but from all over - all of it comes together in an absolutely fantastic composition! The only disappointing thing is that the art itself is not, in fact, polyamorous. :P
