Why this piece is awesome: Schroedinger is only doing what comes naturally, considering Anderson's eventual fate. If you've ever had cats, this will be familiar as well as hilarious. The setting is also rendered in wonderful detail, even down to the little things reflected in the mirror.

Why this piece is awesome: My love for these paintings cannot be textually rendered. There is (of course) an unpublished third piece, with Spike looking on while ballerina!Buffy and Angel dance the pas de deux from Swan Lake, but these two are my favourites anyway. The swanky clothes! The curl of steam! The hilariously placed transom! The dances represent chapters in Joss's narrative. The people in the background, with the notebooks and flashbulbs, are the members of the private discussion list, Tea at the Ford, doing what Buffy fans do best.

Why this piece is awesome: The atmosphere in this piece is amazing. We often see Minerva as a strict teacher, self-controlled and poised. I just as easily can see her not only being brave but just a little reckless like she is portrayed here. Gorgeous.
